When the umbrella is gone

And so it poured ,

Like heavens had given up,

Like it was the end.

The thunder was deafening,

like it wanted to say something,

or prevent something being said.

There was a time I loved the rain,

I danced , I jumped and thumped my chest

But now

I walked slowly,

Clutching the last hope,

Maybe I am drowning.

Maybe , Maybe is the wrong word,

because I know exactly,

The rain hurts when the umbrella is gone.
