Time deficit- English Poem

A beautiful poem on lack of time

Full Lyrics:

life oh life you have lost your shine
where is my precious oh precious dear time
the clock is running a hundred meter race
my heart beat is also shooting up its pace
I want to laugh
but where is the time?

I chew faster, I walk faster, i talk faster, i dream faster
my breath has shortened
my morals forgotten
My hello has turned into a hii
and hi soon turns into a bye
appreciations have taken a backseat
My only social interaction is a mere tweet
I want to enjoy
But where is the time?

The sun seems like a pendulum swinging up and down
it takes just a second for dusk to turn into dawn
light turns into darkness,darkness turns into light
like a bulb swithched of momentarily and then turned on bright
summers evaporate and condense into rains
rains then freeze into winters
Winters blossom into springs oh so soon
I want to dance in the monsoon
But where is the time?

The beats of song are faster
the speed of my car is faster
The roads are are a roller coaster
I want to go on a drive
But where is the time?

Presenting to you a beautiful poem by Rajni ji. Loved the way she put forward the feelings. It brings back a sense of nostalgia, a sense of past .

I also owe an apology to Rajni ji for not uploading this for more than a month .I recorded the poetry a long time ago…uploading it now.

Found another poet par excellence, when he recites he not only gives poem a musical touch  but also involves his whole body in the process.

His motto is pretty similar to mine, I want to bring poetry to everyone , he wants to make people who hate poetry to love him.

If people love him ,they by extension will love his work which is poetry. Liked this thought….

Hostel Life

Hostel life hai badi mast
Chuti waale din rehte hai sust
 
Subah 8 baje ke baad jagna

Phir college ke liye bhagna

Free lec. Me aakar room me sona

Ghar ki yaad me wo chup ke rona
 
Jaana wo lec. Me 20 minute baad

Padte to hai lekin rehta nahi yaad
 
Raat ko 2-3 baje ke baad sona

Phir sunder sunder sapno me khona
 
Corridor ki window se dikhta girls hostel

So, corridor me rehti hai hustle and bustle
 
Mess ki wo line bhool nahi sakta

Tumhare bin yaaron reh nahi sakta
 
Dosto ke saath mil baith kar khana

Phir mess se bahar aakar kehna-

Saala kya bakwaskhana bana tha
 
Karna wo warden ko raat ko tang

Hostel me padai lekin masti bhi sang

Khelna wo corridor me football

Upar se chillana goal  goal
 
Heater pe raat ko magi banana

Doston ko raat ko coffee pilana
 
Sath baithkar assignment banana

End time pe submit karwana

Paper se pehli raat ko sona

Exam ke sath sapne me khona
 
Padne likhne ka yahan naam nahi

Masti ke siva koi kaam nahi

Exams ki chinta satati nahi

Girlfriend ki yaad me neend aati nahi
 
Exam times me notes maangna

Syllabus pe kewal ek najar maarna
 
Karna wo raat ko girlfriend se baatein

Satai hai raat ko uski yaadein
 
Room me hoti hai yaaron ki mehfil

Jinke sath hum yaaron jaate hai ghul-mil
 
Dhona wo kapde chuti waale din

Kaise reh paaunga mai tumhare bin
 
Room ki safai,sang me padai

Mess me jaate hi ghar ki yaad satai
 
Lena wo doston se study me madad

Dost koi ruthe to hota hai dard
 
Room me baithkar carrom khelna

Raani ke piche sankat jhelna

Bhejna wo sms dosto ki band bajana

Ruthe hue dosto ko sms se manana
 
New year celebration bhool nahi sakta

Without masti yahan koi reh nahi sakta
 
Dekhna wo raat ko lappy pe filmey

Gungunana raat ko corridor me nagmey
 
Hostel ki party bhuli nahi jayegi

Sach me yarro  tumhari badi yaad aayegi

Karta hu  rab se ek hi dua

Hum na ho yarro kabhi bhi juda

Most beautiful Sea beach

You recognize that boy in the corner?

No?

Yes he was with us some time back

Now he sits there in the corner, mellow, singing his own tune

 

Oh yes,he does not speak much

Doesn’t have much to say

is found in the corners of pictures somewhere

Trying to fit in the narrow frame,

 

He can be easily missed,

not the one remembered first

 

Not the one with jokes

Or the latest gossip

He speaks only when spoken to

 He slips from a party and no one notices

like his entry

He is the boring type

 

No, it is not that he has no stories to tell

Or tales to speak of

Just that ,he thinks no one would listen

 

But if you were to catch him in one of those moments

Or were the one who broke the ice

You will know..

 

You would know that there is an ocean inside ..

an ocean of emotions and words unspoken

of songs unsung and tales untold

tales of lands far and wide

of places that no one knew existed

or places which exist only in his imagination

 

Oh he can take you there

Tell you tales about things that matter

Touch your soul and maybe heal your heart

 

 But
he is not the one to speak

he is not the one to break the shell

because he is weak and afraid

of the world

he knows  when he is out of sight he is  out of mind

 

yes he the same one

who you don’t remember

rocks in a sea

बहुत लिखता हूँ में,

कुछ सुनने को,

इक नया किस्सा,

सबको बतलने को.


कभी ग़ज़ल

कभी शेर

लिखता हूँ में बहुत

दिन और सवेर



हर दिन इक नया साज़

हर दिन इक नया राग

इक नई उमंग, इक नई तरंग

रोज़ छेड़ता हूँ में इक नई तार

सहलाता हूँ में इक नया एहसास


पर आज दोबारा सब पड़ा

सोचा, सब राग बजें एक साथ

हर जरर्रा महेक उठे

हर एहसास चहेक उठे


मगर


सिर्फ़ एक ही राग मिला

एक ही साज़ मिला

हर ग़ज़ल में हर शेर में

हर राग में हर साज़ में

बस एक ,सिर्फ़ एक ही कहानी


सालों से बस एक ही किस्सा

बस एक ही कहानी

बस बदले अल्फ़ाज़

ना बदल पाया एहसास


मेरी बस एक ही कहानी

So if you remember , I had sought your interest in project 50voices where 1 poem was to be recorded by 50 people, one line at a time.

I am pleased to announce that we have DONE it guys :)

We had people not just from India but also US and UK….It’s been a dream project :) And would like to thank you all for all the support.

For those who missed out, please make sure you keep checking the Mr Unreasonable’s page , we will do something similar again sometime

Do you like listening to poetry?

Over the past year I have received a lot of love and support from people for my poetry and 50 Voices collaborative poetry voiceover projectrecordings. A few month’s back I started recording Poetry submitted by Amateur poets and I was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of talent people had. To be frank I was surprised how come some of them are not yet established names in the literary circles

Now taking this collaboration to the next level. 50 Voices

Here is the plan: I will write a poem of about 50 lines and 1 line each will be assigned to the 50 volunteers spread across the world. These volunteers will record that one line via a webcam or any simple video recording camera .Later all these lines will be combined to form the poetry . A nice background score will be added and and finishing touches given.
